This new department, dedicated to the creation and the organization of audiovisual and cinema markets, festivals and Events, saw the light in 2011 when Pascal Diot is named Manager of the Filmmart, the market of the Dubai International Film Festival. He will keep this position for 3 years. Since then, Pascal Diot has created the Venice Film Market in 2012 and then the Venice Production Bridge that is heading it up to now. This market, conceived far from the Cannes of Berlin models, is focusing on production and is in constant development as the fifth edition gathered more than 2,000 international professionals. At the same time, IDPL is a consultant for the market of the Tokyo International Film Festival, TIFFCOM since 2015. Through IDPL, Pascal Diot has been the CEO of Le Pôle Image de Liège (2015-2017) a cluster gathering shooting facilities and more than 35 companies representing the complete chain of production, has been the president of the two first editions of the Festival International du Film de Bruxelles (2015-2016) and the CEO of the Belgian production company, Gapbusters (2017-Feb 2018). IDPL has also created with the company Vision in Motion the first European genre co-production market, Frontières in Brussels (2014-2015) and has worked for the European part of the ATF/ Screen Singapore in 2013. IDPL is regularly sollicited to study new events and she has been providing special reports on the Qingdao International Film Festival (2014), the Islamabad International Film Festival (2017), the Venice Digital Content Market (2015), the Tianjin International Animation Film Festival (2016), Pour Une Afrique Numérique (Dakar summit) (2016)... This new department is encountering a worldwide success and is currently asked to work on new international projects. |
