Markets & festivals
This new department, dedicated to the creation and the organization of audiovisual and cinema markets and festivals, saw the light in 2011 when Pascal Diot is named Manager of the Filmmart, the market of the Dubai International Film Festival. He is still in charge up to now.
Since then, Pascal Diot has created the Venice Film Market in 2012 and is heading it up to now. This market, conceived far from the Cannes of Berlin models, is in constant development as the 2013 edition shows a 23% increase in all departments (number of participants, sales agents, distributors, producers, screenings, stands, receipts...)
In 2013, IDPL has been working for the European part of the ATF/ SCREEN SINGAPORE, promoting the event to the European industry professionals.
IDPL is currently working with Vision In Motion on the creation of the first International Co-Production Market and Market dedicated to the European genre movies. FRONTIERES takes place in Brussels on April 10-12, 2014 during the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival. This new market is a collaboration with the BIFFF and Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal.
This new department is encountering a worldwide success and is currently asked to work on three international projects (two in Europe and one in Asia).
